About the Role
As a Shop Assistant, your main focus will be delivering excellent customer service that drives sales and leaves customers with a positive impression of their visit. You'll help shoppers find the right products, answer their questions, maintain appealing displays, support in-store promotions, and help keep the store neat and welcoming.

Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers and offering friendly, professional service
- Helping customers find products suited to their needs
- Creating a positive, memorable shopping experience
- Assisting customers in person and telephonically

- Demonstrating products where relevant
- Upselling additional products and services
- Ensuring correct pricing and product placement

- Assisting with stock takes and counts
- Flagging fast- and slow-moving stock to the Store Manager
- Following procedures to minimise stock loss
- Safeguarding company assets

- Taking on other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- At least six months' retail experience
- Own or reliable transport for shift work
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Candidates with proven customer service and sales experience may be given preference during shortlisting.
